Romona Hilliger sweeps her readers right into the story, pacing it well from the very beginning, and capturing the readers' heartfelt emotions. Examining a critical turning point in history for both the Indian Subcontinent and the British Empire, Ms. Hilliger writes in a manner that makes the history understandable and compelling, even for readers who previously had no knowledge of nor interest in that time period. Her characters are excellently developed, and the reader will find much to love, admire, and appreciate here, not only in the protagonists but in the secondary characters as well. Lure of the Emerald Peacock is an excellent story with wide-ranging appeal for many readers. I |

GOOD READ.
Come, Love Me Again
is one of the most emotionally packed stories I’ve read in a while. The
exchanges between Rebecca and Hunter are powerful and sometimes gut
wrenching. Their emotions are so raw and open that it is impossible not
to feel them. Ms. Hilliger has portrayed the setting for this
story in vivid detail, also. It fairly leaps off the page, and the
cattle stations and the surrounding countryside are so vividly described
that I could see everything in my mind. I felt like I stepped off the
plane with the heroine and experienced everything she did. I was moved
to tears by some of Hunter’s harshness toward her, especially when she
tries to explain why she left him. This is a realistic story, and I
enjoyed it very much.

(Course Professional Romance Writing) I certainly enjoyed reading this assignment, Romona, I have to say that rarely has a student's work touched me like this one. It was such a poignant scene. It was filled with sexual tension and I felt my heart really breaking for the despair Becky must be feeling at this time. Well done.

Ms. Hilliger has brilliantly detailed a read that kept this reader spellbound. The dialogue is superb, the secondary characters a plus and Brad and Jodie, two people who will always be remembered in this reader's mind. A Shadow From his Past is a treasure.
