The award winning Waterfront Wynyard offers excellent value for money in it's 25 retro chic motel style rooms. All rooms have received a 3 1/2 star rating from AAA Tourism and have views across the Inglis river. In fact, we're so close to the water you will hear it from your room at night.
Our property was built in the late 1960s and
whilst the current trend in refurbishment of properties of this
style is to either demolish or completely pull out the content of
the room and replace with generic furniture packages, we have aimed
to modernise our rooms with a sympathetic eye towards the design and
style of the era of the original building.
Whilst the rooms
are contemporary in bed quality and amenities, we
have kept alive the key design elements from the original era to
give you the best in both comfort and authentic motel style.
All rooms have 26" flat screen digital televisions with access to the available digital stations in the area, plus free access to AUSTAR cable television. Combined with out blazingly fast ADSL2 internet connection, we offer the best in technology for a fraction of the price many larger hotels charge. So whether you are in the north west for business or just in search of a chilled out break put us at the top of your accommodation list.

The Waterfront is located directly on the Inglis river and yet is only a few minutes drive from the Burnie /Wynyard airport. The airport has several direct flights to and from Melbourne on Rex airlines.
The Waterfront, Wynyard has a fully
licensed cafe and restaurant, The Riverview Cafe & Restaurant, which
is open 7 days a week for breakfast and Monday to Friday for
dinner. We source local produce for our menu and spend a lot of time
designing and getting the menu just right so you get to have an
unforgettable taste of Tassie produce at it's best.
During winter, without pre bookings, we may close the
restaurant on some nights, so just check with us first or make a
booking ahead.
